What Is The New Certification Program?


The RFMP designation recognizes the professionalism of retail maintenance managers and promotes a uniform of standard of excellence in the industry. It helps provide career path information for retailers and identify professionals who have met quality and knowledge standards. RFMP professionals have demonstrated an aptitude in core skill sets, a commitment to the field and a desire to excel in a competitive industry. Those earning the RFMP designation will enter ranks of highly experienced, knowledgeable and capable professionals in the retail facilities maintenance.

Who is Eligible?

This level of certification is designed for U.S. based retail facilities maintenance professionals who have worked in the industry for at least three years and have responsibility for the following areas:

 • Maintaining retail facilities 
 • Troubleshooting retal maintenance issues
 • Managing repair and service vendors in terms of scope, quality, cost and timeliness of service



What is the Cost?

The cost to take the exam is:

  •   $395 for PRSM members

  •   $790 for non-members

How Will My Achievement Be Recognized?

Once you earn the RFMP designation, you will receive the benefits of this distinguished achievement as well as the following:
