*New members are retail companies who have not been a member for the past 12 months and who were not PRSM members in the 2009 calendar year. 

Rewards for Referring New Members

PRSM has tailored its Retail Member Referral Program to give you, whether you are a vendor or retailer company, rewards that will appeal specifically to you! The more members you bring on board, the greater the rewards!

 

Rewards
Retailers: For every non-member retail company that joins the association because of you, PRSM will reward you with credit towards a PRSM event or membership! Get $50 in PRSM Credit for your first retail member company referral and $75 in PRSM Credit for each member after that! Use this credit to reduce the cost of your membership or registration at PRSM Mid-Year or National Conference!

 

Vendors: For every non-member retail company that joins the association because of you, PRSM will reward you with your choice of the following:

  • One (1.0) Priority Point towards your exhibit space booth selection for PRSM2010! National Conference. As a point of reference, standard PRSM exhibit/sponsorship points provide one point (1.0) per $1,000 spent.

- OR -

  • PRSM Credit which you can use towards a PRSM event registration, exhibit space or sponsorship! Get $50 in PRSM Credit for your first retail member company referral and $75 in PRSM Credit for each member after that!

Recognition
Quarterly Winners: The member who refers the most retail members each quarter will be recognized via email, on the PRSM Website and in the PRSM Magazine.

 

Annual Winners: The member who refers the most retail members by March 31, 2010 will be recognized during the National Conference Awards Ceremony in Orlando, FL! You will also be recognized in SHOP Talk, in PRSM Magazine, receive your photo on the PRSM Website, and will receive an automatic invitation to the PRSM 2009/2010 Membership Committee! Now that's an honor you won't want to refuse!

Tips & Ideas For Referring New Retail Members


  

It's easy to refer someone to become a member of PRSM! Here are just a few suggestions: 

  • Refer online! Give us your referral details electronically. Just send your colleagues to www.PRSM.com to join. Remind them to submit your name as the referring member.
  • E-mail your referrals directly to us. Send them to membership@PRSM.com.
  • Copy us when you email your referrals. Copy membership@PRSM.com and our membership team will follow up with them.
  • Personally deliver PRSM membership recruitment brochures. Call toll-free 866.963.1895, ext. 102 to request membership packets, or e-mail us at membership@PRSM.com. Or, you can download the electronic version of the brochure!
  • We'll mail packets for you. Send us a list electronically with your names. We'll send your prospects personalized packets, including your name as the referring member.
  • Invite them to experience PRSM with you. Take colleagues to PRSM programs and events. Encourage them to become members by sharing the benefits of membership.
  • Give PRSM your stamp of approval. Your personal endorsement of PRSM means a lot and goes a long way with new members!
  • Make your job easier. Encourage your team and others you work with to join the Association.
  • Follow up with them! This often makes a difference in whether your colleague will join.

Referral Program Guidelines


  • The PRSM Membership Referral Program is open to all PRSM member companies, retail and vendor, who are current in their membership dues.  
  • The campaign runs through March 30, 2010. An award will be given at PRSM2010! to the company who refers the most retail member companies! 

  • Rewards are non-transferrable.
  • Members may refer any company that is not a current member of PRSM, including former PRSM members whose membership has lapsed for more than 12 months.
  • Participants do not get credit for referring companies who were PRSM members as of December 31, 2009.
  • Referral forms received by PRSM must include your company name in the "Referred by" section to receive credit for referral. You may download additional forms from the PRSM Website, www.prsm.com.
  • Referring members will receive their rewards at the end of each quarter, after the newly referred member pays their membership dues.
  • If a company is referred by two different members, the membership referral form received first will take precedence and the referral will be applied to the company listed in the "Referred to" section of that form.

Email Your Referral: The information requested on the member referral card can also be submitted via e-mail to membership@prsm.com. If choosing to do so, please include the following information about the prospective member:
  • Contact Name
  • Title
  • Organization
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Fax
  • E-mail
  • Relationship to member (optional)
  • Organization, contact name and e-mail of the member making the referral

Each prospect identified will be contacted with information about the Association and the value of PRSM membership. As an incentive for participation, each referral qualifies the PRSM member submitting the contact information for rewards and recognition!
