PRSM Association Announces 2008 Award Winners The Professional Retail Store Maintenance Awards were announced on April 15 in Orlando, Florida at the PRSM2008! National Conference Awards Ceremony. It was a spectacular event that showcased the association's most distinguished awards, The Retailer of the Year and The Vendor of the Year. "Both of these awards honor excellence in performance in their respective workplaces, both winners have exemplified the professionalism and industry expertise that is essential in today's retail environment to be effective contributors to the retailers' management team," stated Mario Vega, PRSM Association President and Director of Store Maintenance and Refurbishments, The Gymboree Corporation, San Francisco, California.
Other Awards given during the ceremony were 2008 Outstanding PRSM Volunteer of the Year and the 2008 PRSM Association Service Excellence Awards.

2008 PRSM Association Retailer of the Year LYNN HARNISHFEGER, RFMP Manager of Store Repairs Dollar Tree Stores, Inc.
Lynn joined Dollar Tree Stores in November of 2001 and has effectively managed a repair staff of 11 individuals in the daily repair and maintenance functions for over 3,400 store locations. In addition to managing a sizeable staff, Lynn is responsible for developing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, performing auditing functions and financial reporting. While doing all of this, Lynn managed to obtain her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Strayer University in December 2006, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and is in the process of pursuing her MBA, expecting completion in April of 2009. Lynn has also found time to be actively involved in PRSM, participating in the RFMP certification program as a subject matter expert, and serving on the membership and ethics committees and co-chairperson. Recently, Lynn was elected as the 2008-09 Treasurer of PRSM Association.

2008 PRSM Association Vendor of the Year CARL NOTTBERG Senior Vice President of Operations US Maintenance
Carl Nottberg oversees the HVAC & roofing operations of US Maintenance. One of the founding members of PRSM Association, Carl brings 28 years of expertise to the industry. From mechanical and new construction to maintenance and energy management, Carl has a vast array of facility maintenance experience from both the self perform and subcontractor models. In addition, he was one of the pioneers in specializing in HVAC maintenance for chain store retailers. Carl built US Maintenance's technical specialized service line from the ground up and has helped usher in a new era of providing USM's clients with total facility solutions.

Bruce has been a long-term member of PRSM. For the last several years, he has been active on the Education Committee, he not only participates but he develops educational sessions and always finds the right members to participate in a panel or group discussions.

Wayne Knaub has been the co-chair of the Web Services Committee for the past two years. With his support and leadership, he has been instrumental in the redesigning and transition of the PRSM website to what it is now. He has gone above and beyond. His continued commitment and eagerness has contributed to moving PRSM and the retail facilities maintenance industry forward.
AL PERL Facilities Manager Linens 'N Things
Al Perl deserves special recognition for his many years of service to PRSM, more importantly, for his continued participation. Al has played many roles within PRSM over the years, but the one constant is his active presence at all PRSM venues. Al not only attends, he is visible and engaged at all educational sessions, round tables and on the trade show floor.
RON PRAGER Executive Vice President Brinco Mechanical Services, Inc.
Ron Prager is the ultimate volunteer. A member since the beginning, Ron has been on many committees and on the Board. He is well respected by his peers for his knowledge and practical outlook of PRSM. Any session Ron develops or participates in is always a highlight of the educational sessions.
RICK LEE Customer Advocate Cleanway Industries
A long time supporter of PRSM and a past Board member, Rick was instrumental in being the forerunner for the Retailer2Retailer Program. It was through his benchmarking sessions at Cleanway that he introduced attendees to what PRSM was about and from there the R2R program was born.

BOB MOLYNEUX Manager of Facility Maintenance Operations JCPenney
During his tenure as Treasurer, Bob put into place an outstanding financial package for PRSM Association for investments and management of funds. When stepping down as Treasurer, Bob passed off a well organized and well managed financial management program to the new Treasurer. Bob is respected by his colleagues for his professional demeanor and for his contributions to the retail facilities industry.
