About PRSM Foundation, Inc. 
We are pleased to announce the PRSM Foundation, a 501c3, philanthropical entity of the PRSM Association. PRSM Impact!, the original PRSM charity function, continues as the tactical force behind the PRSM Foundation. The Foundation empowers PRSM Impact! and expands its ability to execute local charity projects, provide scholarships and conduct industry research and training.

Mission Statement 
The PRSM Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit entity that promotes charitable projects, education, industry research and training for individuals and companies engaged in Retail Facilities Management. The foundation also organizes volunteer activities to support other non-profits organizations that need facility maintenance repairs and improvements. 

Vision:
PRSM Foundation uses the talent and resources of retail facilities management professionals to impact the lives of those in need.

PRSM Foundation will consist of four strategic initiatives:

 

Educational Scholarships

Work with educational institutions to establish partnerships to develop facilities management degree programs and award scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing a degree in facilities management.

The Foundation initiatives will be funded through direct donations, and sponsorships of the Annual PRSM Charity Golf Classic, the Head Shot Lounge, Gala Dinner and other planned charitable activities.

Levels of Giving

The PRSM Foundation has applied for tax-exempt status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and will provide donors with its IRS determination letter in due course. Please consult with your tax and legal advisor regarding deductibility of your donation.

In-Kind Donations:
We are seeking in-kind donations to support the efforts of the PRSM Impact Charity Projects. Specifically, products and material relating to landscaping and painting. The scope of work will vary from project but we will identify needs closer to the event date.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer as a Charity Project Host:
We are seeking organizations to serve as PRSM Impact Charity Project Host. The host is responsible for working with the PRSM Impact Committee Co-Chairs on site selection, site inspection, identifying scope of work, pre and onsite logistics for project completion and securing in-kind donors. It is preferred that the Charity Project host bein the city where the project is being conducted as travel is required.

Serve on a PRSM Foundation Committee:
PRSM Foundation committees are a big part of the foundation’s success as they support the strategic initiatives for the foundation. Committee appointments are typically for 1-year terms. Committee meetings occur primarily via conference calls or at a PRSM Association conference.  Your time commitment averages 1-2 hours per month.

Current Committees:

This committee is responsible for organizing volunteer charity projects to assist non-profit organizations in the maintenance and improvement of facilities on a local and national basis.

This committee will ensure and contribute to strategic and well planned fundraising initiatives designed to help the foundation achieves its mission while cultivating donor relationships.

This committee will develop apprenticeship programs to support facilities maintenance organizations. Program will help recruit, train and retain talent in the skilled labor workforce.

This committee will work with educational institutions to establish collaborative partnerships to develop multi-site facilities management degree programs and award scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing a degree in multi-site facilities management.
