Ecova Is Now ENGIE Insight

New brand represents the company’s singular focus on data-driven insights for sustainable resource management

Spokane, WA — January 22, 2018 — Ecova, a leading energy and sustainability management company, today announced its rebrand to ENGIE Insight. The new name reflects the company’s singular focus on helping multi-site customers unlock data-driven insights to achieve business results while reducing their resource consumption – including energy, water, waste, and telecommunications.

With significant support from its parent company ENGIE, the rebrand comes as ENGIE Insight is making a large, multi-year investment in technology and capabilities for its integrated expense and data management and advisory solutions, such as energy supply management. The company’s solutions are trusted by the market’s largest customer base, including 25 percent of the Fortune 500.

Since ENGIE acquired Ecova in 2014, the two companies have helped customers architect a new energy future by navigating three broad market forces: digitization, decentralization, and decarbonization. The new brand of ENGIE Insight is accelerating momentum and awareness around this shared mission. By associating more closely with ENGIE, the most valuable utility brand in the world, ENGIE Insight will have a greater, more impactful voice in the global energy and sustainability revolution.

ENGIE Insight will maintain its third-party trusted advisor status in energy procurement bids, through rigorous data security and compliance standards and a demonstrated vendor-agnostic approach.

ENGIE Insight sister companies OpTerra [Oakland, Calif.] and Green Charge [Santa Clara, Calif.] will also assume the ENGIEbrand. OpTerra’s new name is ENGIE Services U.S. and Green Charge is ENGIE Storage.
