PRSM anounced today that Jon Dawkins, RFMP, Retail Facilities Administrator, REI, received the 2017 Retailer of the Year Award and Lisa Varga, CEO, Phoenix Energy Technologies was named the 2017 Supplier of the Year. The awards were presented today during PRSM2017 National Conference in Dallas, TX.
PRSM’s Retailer of the Year Award recognizes performance excellence by a retail facilities maintenance professional. PRSM’s Supplier of the Year Award is presented annually and honors performance excellence by a supplier to the retail facilities maintenance industry. For more on these awards, click here.
PRSM announced today, during the PRSM2017 National Conference, that Bill Ackerman, National Sales Executive, Vixxo is the 2017 PRSM Volunteer of the Year Award honoree.
Amanda Holup, President, Low-Slope Solutions, LLC, Myriah Kingen, Director, Repair & Maintenance, Extra Space Storage, Robbie Drake, Manager, Operations Maintenance Murphy Oil USA, Inc., Dave Emmons, Account Executive, Authority HVAC, and Steven Peldiak, President, Watterman Environmental & Facilities Management received the PRSM Service Excellence Awards for their volunteer service.
The PRSM Volunteer of the Year Award is presented to a member who has distinguished themselves by elevating the association through their active engagement and leadership of PRSM Impact! the official PRSM charity. Four PRSM retailers, H&M, Giant Tiger Stores Limited, Target Corporation, and Ulta Beauty were honored today by the The Department of Energy (DOE) as recipients of the DOE Advanced Roof Top Unit (RTU) Campaign Awards. The awards were presented during PRSM2017 National Conference held in Grapevine, TX. Click here for more.
Click-and-collect growth has been robust over the past year, with 23 percent of respondents saying that they have a program in place, up from 15 percent a year ago. This corresponds with the numerous stories of food retailers building out click-and-collect over the past year, from nationals such as Walmart and Kroger to regionals like Meijer and Strack & Van Til – even to independents, which made up a large chunk of the survey’s respondent base. Just because people are less likely to walk through the doors of certain stores nowadays does not mean they’re not interested in stores in general. The problem, many analysts argue, is that certain retailers are not interested enough in their customers. The eighth edition of this publication is a resource of maintenance practices and an educational guide to inform the reader about retail management and maintenance.
