Strong Black Friday is a positive for brick-and-mortar stores

Black Friday kicked off the holiday shopping season on a high note for brick-and-mortar stores. According to reports, 75 percent of all spending was captured by retailers with a physical presence. Click here to read more. 

PRSM retailers rank high in consumer shopping experience report

While in-store shopping still accounts for 91 percent of U.S. retail sales, the pivot toward online shopping means that brick-and-mortar retailers must find ways to deliver experiences web outlets alone can’t match. Many of the overall winners of the Retail Reputation Report, which ranks in-store consumer shopping experience, are PRSM members. Click here to view the report.

Consumer confidence hits 17-year high

This month, the consumer confidence index hit the highest mark since November, 2000. After historic highs in October, the trend continued with record Black Friday weekend spending. The index indicates a healthy holiday shopping season ahead. To read more, click here.
