The CVS Health/Aetna merger forces the industry to adapt
CVS Health’s acquisition of health insurer Aetna has the potential to upend the whole healthcare landscape by converting stores into walk-in doctors offices. CVS, which focused on the last mile of care with its pharmacy and over-the-counter medications, can now focus on the first mile of care with these new or updated stores. Click here to read more.
Gander Outdoors to re-open 69 locations
Gander Outdoors, formally known as Gander Mountain, announced the initial list of retail stores that are scheduled to re-open under its new name in 2018. Gander Mountain was purchased by Camping World Holdings in 2017. Click here to view the full list of store openings.

Movement to focus on sexual harassment in janitorial industry
Time’s Up, a new effort to combat sexual harassment and assault in the workplace, was announced last week. The announcement specifically addresses women working in janitorial services, agriculture, garment factories and those who are undocumented. Click here to read more.

2017 holiday sales results were up compared to 2016
Citi Trends released its 2017 Holiday Sales Results. Overall, Q4 total sales were up more than $10 million compared to 2016. The company is also evaluating the impact of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on earnings. Click here to read more.
